Disabled Access Hotel in Winchester - Accessibility



Please find outlined below information we hope will ensure you enjoy your visit to Harestock Lodge Hotel regardless of whether your life is affected in some way by a medical condition, disability, impairment, or specific learning difficulty.



Prior to your arrival

  • Enquiries and reservations may be made by phone or email.
  • Should you require a taxi to the hotel from Winchester Station (5 minute drive) we would be delighted to book a taxi for you on your behalf. They do have vehicles suitable for wheelchairs if required.
  • Directions to the hotel can be found on our website.

On arrival at the hotel

  • We have ample car parking in the hotel grounds.
  • Entrance to the hotel is by way of one step or a gentle slope that is suitable for a wheelchair.
  • We are more than happy to help you with your luggage and will collect it from your car and deliver it to your room if preferred.

Reception area

  • Floor is wood parquet and therefore suitable for wheelchairs.
  • Reception is all on one level.
  • A low level desk can be made available for check in if needed.

Public areas

  • Our corridors are well lit and are either wooden or carpeted.
  • Restaurant 65 has a wooden parquet floor and our Banqueting Suite is carpeted and are on one level.
  • There is a door between reception and the restaurant and bar.

Toilets

  • Our disabled toilet is situated on the ground floor easily accessible from both Restaurant 65 and the Banqueting Suite.
  • The fire alarm system is a siren and does not have flashing lights. Assistance is given if evacuation is necessary.

Restaurant 65 and the Banqueting Suite

  • There is ample movable seating in both and there are chairs with or without arms.
  • Background music is normally played in the restaurant.
  • Full waiter service.
  • Restaurant tables are laid with white table linen.
  • All areas are well lit.

Accommodation

  • We have rooms on the ground floor level, with ramped access and reasonably large en-suite bathrooms.
  • We have one room with an adapted bathroom.

Additional information

  • Service dogs (only) are welcome.
  • We can store medication in one of our refrigerators on request.
  • We are able to use a number of access routes in the event of evacuation. The siren will ring continuously if evacuation is needed. If you require assistance for evacuating please notify us on arrival.
  • A member of staff is available through our Front Desk on a 24 hour basis in case of need
